Tex Williams Died in New Mexico Monday
The death of Tex Williams in Silver City, New Mexico Monday was learned here through a telephone call to Mr. and Mrs. Bob McIlveen, Monday evening.
It was not learned if Mr. Williams, well known in the Eagle River valley, had been ill for a length of time.
The call came from the late Mr. Williams' step-daughter, who stated the funeral service and burial would be in Santa Monica, Calif. at the side of his wife, Bessie, who died a year ago.
Mr. Williams was a long-time employee of the New Jersey Zinc Co. and worked at the company mine in Gilman for many years before being transferred to Silver City,. With Mrs. Williams, he made his home in Gilman and Eagle for a long period of time prior to moving to New Mexico, where Mrs. Williams died last summer.
