Edward Steffen passed away
February 3, 2013, at the Palisade
Living Center, he was 94.
Ed was born on March 3, 1918,
in De Soto, Missouri, one of ten
children, from the union of Bertram
and Nellie Steffen. He was a
United States Air Force Master
Sergeant serving in Korea, Japan,
Germany and all over the United
States.
He married Dorothy Steffen in Montgomery, AL in 1941, they
later divorced and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2008.
He married Liz Heller and they later divorced.
Ed was a resident of the Grand Junction area for 15 years mov ing
from Bend, OR. He was an inquisitive man who enjoyed aviation
and piloting and liked reading a good Zane Gray novel. He was a
Bush Pilot in Alaska and part of the Clark County, NV Search an d
Rescue in earlier years.
Ed leaves behind his sons, Gene (Gail) Steffen of Logandale, NV,
and Kenneth (Judy) Steffen of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Patric ia
(Kurt) Holland of Palisade, CO; ten grandchildren, 25 great-gra ndchildren
and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Steffen.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Februa ry 8,
2013, at Martin Mortuary.

Edward B. Steffen, 94, Palisade, died Feb. 3, 2013, at Palisade
Living Center.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Martin Mortuary.
Mr. Steffen was a master sergeant.
Survivors include two sons, Gene of Logandale, Nev., and Kenneth
of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Patricia Holland of Palisade;
10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great-greatgrandchildren.
