Eleanor W. Anderson, 102, Grand Junction, died Feb. 3, 2013,
at Mantey Heights.
A service is 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Beth Vokoun of Grand Junction
and Sylvia Conn of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.

Eleanor W. Anderson passed
away February 3, 2013, at Mantey
Heights Care Center in Grand
Junction, Colorado. She was 102.
Eleanor was born to Frank and
Bertha Berryman in Mosca, Colorado
on September 21, 1910, one
of seven children; three boys and
four girls.
She is preceded in death by her
parents, husband, and six siblings.
Eleanor graduated from Adam’s State College with a Bachelor’s
Degree and did graduate work in Greeley, Colorado. She taught and
later became principal at Columbus Elementary in Grand Junction.
Eleanor married Floyd Anderson in 1947. She retired and became a
stay-at-home mom to her two daughters. She had many interests including
reading, sewing, travel, fishing, and music performance s.
Eleanor served as a community volunteer and was an active member
of the First United Methodist Church for more than 60 years, including
Church School Superintendent, and United Methodist
Women.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia (Michael)
Conn of Salt Lake City, UT, and Beth (Rudy) Vokoun of Grand
Junction, CO; four grandchildren, David (Kate) Vokoun, and Bradley
Vokoun of Long Beach, CA; Patrick Conn of Salt Lake City,
UT; Mackenzie (Tyler) Conn-Price of U.S. Army at Fayetteville,
NC; six great-grandchildren, Zoe, Mia, and Wesley Vokoun, Skyler
and Keeley Conn, and Connor Price, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 1:00
p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 522 White Ave., Grand
Junction. Visitation will precede the service.
Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church.

Mortuary.
