Ann L. Wilson of Eagle-Vail dies at 95

EAGLE-Vail - Ann Wilson died at her home in Eagle-Vail on March 19, 2005. She was 95.

Wilson was born May 29, 1909 in Cummings, N.D. She was the daughter of Detleff and Ann (Rasmussen) Larson, both natives of Norway. She grew up in Grand Forks, N.D., lived in Des Moines, Iowa for 10 years, and moved to Greenfield, Iowa in 1962 before eventually moving west in 1985.

Wilson attended school in Grand Forks, N.D. and graduated from Grand Forks High School. She attended University of North Dakota where she was affiliated with the Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

She married Richard Wallace [Wilson] on Nov. 1, 1933.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her only sister, Hazel Doyle, and her only brother, Arvid Larson.

She is survived by her children; Mary E. Wilson, Suzanne W. Wilson and Richard W. Wilson, all of Eagle-Vail; and Henry M. Wilson and his wife, Wendy, of Spirit Lake, Iowa.

She is also survived by five grandhicldren: Kimberly WOodward and husband Tom of New Castle; Heather Young and husband Brad of Highlands Ranch; Kelly Buxman and husband Richard of Grand Junction and Andy and Aaron Wilson of Spirit Lake.

She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Jordan, Jamie Joseph and Elizabeth Quintana of Highlands Ranch; and a cousin, Kate Overmoe of Hillsboro, N.D.

Graveside Services were held March 24 at the Greenfield Cedmetery in Greenfield, Iowa. Arrangements were handled by Bailey Funeral Home in Leadville and Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield.

The family requests donations to be made to the Mayo Clinic for dementia research or macular degeneration research.
