Deirdre “Dee” Smith, 48, of Edwards, died July 3 at her home.
Beloved around what she affectionately referred to as “Happy Valley,” Deirdre “Dee” Smith left us too early at the young age of 48 years old. Her family and friends always knew Dee as an intelligent, honest and beautiful person (inside and out). She sacrificed anything she could to stand up for who and what she believed in. She had the integrity and character that nobody could match. And more than one person has referred to her as a hero — mostly, her 25-year-old daughter, Desiree.
Services for Dee will be held in her home state of New Jersey in August.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Brown; daughter Desiree Smith; father Richard Smith; and sister Kerri Smith D’Autorio.
