John W. Wilson, 40, died Wednesday night from a self inflicted gun shot through the heart.

Wilson fired a 30-30 into his heart following several hours of drinking during the day.

He had lived in Gypsum with his father, Harry S. Wilson, owner of the former Lemon Pool Parlor, for the past two years. He was a veteran of the last world war, serving in the armed forces for three and a half years.

The body is atg Bowman Funeral Chapel pending arrangements.
