Memorial service for Michael Wilson today
Michael "Kiwi" Allan Wilson, a resident of the Vail Valley for the past eight years, died Tuesday at Vail Valley Medical Center. He was 35.
Wilson was born Aug. 8, 1970 in New Zealand. He was married to Shari Mason on Sept. 16, 2000. They have two children, Rebecca, 3, and Jacob, 1.
Wilson worked with the Kiwi Care Enterprises landscaping company and enjoyed skiing, rock climbing and mountain climbing.
He is survived by his wife, Shari Wilson of Vail; his children, Rebecca Wilson and Jacob Wilson, his mother, Jean Wilson; and his brother, John Wilson.
There will be a memorial service today at Saddle Ridge in Beaver Creek Resort at 11 a.m. Because there is no parking at Saddle Ridge, free parking will be available at the St. James and Village Hall parking structures, and shuttles will be provided.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Wilson Family Memorial Fund, in care of 1st Bank of Avon, P.O. Box 5270, Avon, CO 81620. Donations may be dropped off at any 1st Bank location.
