Thelma Wilson, former longtime Eagle resident, passed away Saturday at the Heritage Care nursing home in Carbondale.
Thelma had spent the day with her family in an early birthday celebration Her birthday would have been on Monday, St. Patrick's day. She was 97 years old.

Long-time Eagle resident Thelma J. Wilson, 97, died March 15 at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale.
She was born March 17, 1906 in Leadville, Colo. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Shelton of Eagle. The family has not yet made arrangements for a memorial service.

Thelma J. Wilson 1906-2003
Long-time Eagle resident Thelma J. Wilson, 96, passed away on March 15. She was born March 17,1906 in Leadville, Colo.
Thelma was raised in Gypsum and graduated from Eagle County High School in 1924.
She and her husband, Eldon, owned and operated Wilson TV and Appliance in Eagle for many years. After retirement, they spent their time in Eagle and Yuma, Ariz. In recent years, Thelma lived in Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale.
She was preceded in death by husband, Eldon; son, Willard, and great-grandson Greg Burton. She is survived by daughter Shirley Shelton and son-in-law Bob of Eagle; sister, Georgia Lewis of Grand Junction, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and four neices.
Private services will be held at a later date.
