Pauline Chapman, of Craig, died March 11, 2011, at her home following a brief illness. She was 53.
Pauline was born March 11, 1958, in Craig, the daughter of Max A. and Mary M. (Montano) Garcia. She was raised and attended school in Craig.
Pauline married Maurice R. Chapman on March 27, 1987, in Craig. They made their home there, and Pauline enjoyed being a homemaker and being near her large family.
She is survived by her mother, Mary M. Garcia, of Craig; her sisters Connie (Butch) Combs, Irene Moralez, Maxine (Jerry) Monger and Lee (John) DeSpain, all of Craig, and Elsie Garcia, of Twin Falls, Idaho; her brothers Jake (Sylvia) Garcia, of Craig, Richard (Bobbi) Garcia, of Denver, and Abel Garcia, of Richfield, Wash.; her stepsons Gregg (Ruth) Chapman, of Minneapolis, Doug (Rebecca) Chapman, of Aurora, and Brett Chapman, of Steamboat Springs; 13 step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson.
Pauline was preceded in death by her father, Max Garcia; and her husband, Maurice Chapman.
A funeral was March 15 at The Grant Mortuary Chapel with Leonard Browning officiating. Pallbearers were Christopher Garcia, Michael Wooten, Armondo Moralez, Tyler Harkner, Doug Chapman and Max Moralez. Honorary pallbearers were all her family and many friends. Interment followed in the Craig Cemetery, where she was laid to rest next to her husband.
