Irene Coverston Mosher Carter, 67, of Berthoud, died Feb. 5, 2008. Irene was born on Jan. 18, 1941, in Hayden to Clarence and Eva (Smith) Coverston.
Irene was raised in Mt. Harris and graduated from Hayden High School in 1959. Irene and Edward Bennie Mosher were married 16 years before his death. They had four children.
Irene married Calvin Carter, Jr., and they were later divorced. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing Scrabble and working crossword puzzles. She loved driving to the mountains and spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Irene is survived by her sons, Ben Mosher (Sherry) of Chula Vista, Calif., Dale Mosher (Sheila) of Merritt Island, Fla.; daughters, Veronica Mosher (Angela) of Loveland, Shelly Stegman (Kevin) of Loveland; brothers, Howard Coverston (Irene) of Safford, Ariz., Richard Coverston (Phyllis) of Henderson, Edward Coverston (Corky) of Craig; sister, Lorie McCarty (Terry) of Hayden; six grandchildren: Bennie, Raymond, Samantha, Nichole, Amanda and Katelyn; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Edward Mosher; and a granddaughter, Elicia.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hayden Congregational Church. Burial will be at the Hayden Cemetery.
