Florestina L. Cordova, 87, Grand Junction, died Feb. 15, 2013,
at her home.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary, followed by a rosary at 10 a.m. Interment will be in
Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Ms. Cordova was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Frank, Eugene and Charles, all of
Grand Junction; one sister, Lydia Garcia of Montrose; 16 grandchildren;
30 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Junction passed away at the age
of 87.
Lucy was born to Fidel and
Rosenalea Ruybal in Alamosa,
Colorado on October 16, 1925.
On July 10, 1948, in Denver,
Colorado, she married the love of
her life, Charlie Eloy Cordova. The couple moved to Grand Junction,
Colorado. Lucy enjoyed being a homemaker and she loved to
garden. She was a very independent person. She enjoyed spending
time with her family, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic
Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, daughter, C harlotte
“Carla”, and brothers and sisters. She is survived by three sons,
Frank (Marsha) Cordova, Eugene (Beverly) Cordova, and Charles
(Joan) Cordova; son-in-law, Jake Gallegos, all of Grand Junctio n;
sisters, Lydia Garcia of Montrose, and Cordy Mungia of Ramondville,
TX; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and eight
great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 21 from 9 - 10:00
a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by a Rosary at 10:00
a.m. and burial in Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
