William “Bill” Keller of Fruita,
Colorado passed away on February
13, 2013, at his home. He was
83 years old.
Bill was born in Hyannis, Nebraska
to Chloe and Lola Keller
on January 4, 1930. He spent his
childhood in the Sandhills of Nebraska,
working ranches, where
he met and married the love of his
life, Lois Lea Lineback, on December 19, 1948.
His early career found him as a logger in the mountains of Colorado
until he started his career as a union carpenter in San Diego,
California, in the summer of 1965.
Bill was known by many names; son, brother, husband, father,
“pops”, grandfather, and most importantly, friend. He loved to help
people. Because of that, he never met a single stranger, just a future
friend. He was someone anyone could trust for anything.
His wife, Lois, preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his
parents; brother, Clifford, and two sisters, Opal and Joy.
Survivors include two sisters, Delores (Jerry) Jones, and Helen
King; daughter, Billie Keller; two sons, Chloe Kelly, and Bradley
(Donna) Keller; grandchildren, James (Sheila) Ray, Jason (Alana )
Ray, Sonja (Josh) Abbott; great-grandchildren, Michael Ray, Ash -
ley Ray, Nathan Ray, Alexandria Ray, Domanick Ray, and Hunter
Abbott, and one great-great-grandbaby, Ethan William Ray.
Bill will be dearly missed by family and many friends.
A memorial service will take place today, Wednesday, February 20
at 1:00 p.m. at the Monument View Bible Church in Fruita.
