Obituaries

Steamboat Today - April 6, 2008

Carol Miller died peacefully in her home April 2, 2008, surrounded by her loving family: her husband of 44 wonderful years, Robert; sons Daniel of Port Washington, N.Y., and Stephen of Oakland, Calif.; daughter Jessica Lobeck of Seattle and Steamboat Springs; and especially her sister and best friend, Barbara Bronner, and husband Jim from next door and their children who Carol loved as her own - Michael Bronner of New York City and Jamie Chomas of San Carlos, Calif.
Born in Chicago, Carol spent her working career as a social worker and later as a real estate broker on Long Island, N.Y., before retiring to Steamboat. Here, in addition to recreating, she was very active with the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and Camp, serving on the board. Carol enjoyed cooking and entertaining her many friends. She skied beautifully, hiked, biked, and golfed as a member of Catamount, and took advantage of all that Colorado's outdoors offered.
Carol's primary accomplishment of life was to spread her endless love to her family and countless friends. She will be sorely missed.
There will be a day of remembrance sometime in June. Carol requested that remembrance donations be sent to Perry-Mansfield, 40755 Routt County Road 36, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487.
