Janet K. Gibbons, age 58, of
Grand Junction, Colorado passed
away Saturday, February 16,
2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
J a n e t w a s b o r n i n B a n g o r ,
Maine. She was the daughter of
Hubert and Rose Kinney. She
married Neal Gibbons on September
22, 1979. They had two
children.
Janet and her husband moved to Colorado in 1985. She loved he r
family, flowers, and at one time had a small jewelry making bus iness
designing and making beautiful beaded jewelry. Janet was employed
as a Records Manager with a subcontractor for the Depart -
ment of Energy.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, Neal; her daughter, Beth,
and son, Neal II; her father, Hubert (Irene) Kinney; sister, Ju lie
Malmberg; brother, Glenn Kinney; nephew, Mark Wasson and
niece, Liz (Brian) Wingerter.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 24, 4:00 p.m. at
Palisade Funeral Home, 729 Elberta Ave., Palisade, with a gathe ring
for friends and family following at Midlands Village Clubhouse,
435 32 Road, Grand Junction.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Palisade Funeral Home, followed
by a gathering at Midlands Village clubhouse, 435 32 Road.
Survivors include her husband, Neal; one son, Neal II of Grand
Junction; one daughter, Beth Johanna Kinney of Grand Junction;
her father, Hubert Kinney of Grand Junction; one brother, Glenn
R. Kinney of Clifton; and one sister, Julie A. Malmberg of Gateway.
