Former Oak Creek resident Franklin J. Koler passed away Feb. 3, 2007, at Columbine Manor Care Center in Salida. He was 68.
Frank was born Oct. 12, 1938, in Oak Creek to Frank and Katherine (Kremer) Koler.
Frank attended school in Oak Creek and spent most of his life working on various ranches in Colorado. For many years he worked on the Hill Ranch near Kremmling. His latest employment was in the Denver area. He moved to Buena Vista in 2001. He loved life in Buena Vista, particularly the friendly people there.
He enjoyed walking, hunting, fishing, model cars and trains, and watching old Western movies.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, John Suchar.
He is survived by his brother Edward Koler, and his wife, Judy, of Buena Vista; sister, Katherine Suchar of Cedaredge; nieces, Rebecca and her husband, Dennis Lane, of Eckert, and Angie and her husband, Steven Cowles, of Westminster; and nephews, Tom Suchar and his wife, Mary, of Rangely, and Kurt Koler of Denver; and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
