Lesley Jane Chambers, 31, died April 18, 2013, at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver.
Born in Memphis, Tenn., Lesley had lived in Steamboat Springs since September 2011. Prior to that time, she lived in Oxford, Miss., for 10 years; Iuka, Miss., for eight years; and Louisville, Ky., for seven years. An Auburn University graduate, Lesley loved to travel. She had visited China, Peru, Ireland, England, Taiwan, Hawaii and Slovenia, to name a few. Lesley loved the outdoors and hiking. She also enjoyed music, good food and wine.
Visitation was from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Stables Bed and Breakfast in Oxford. A memorial service followed at 4 p.m. in the Oak Hill Stables Chapel with the Rev. John Semmes officiating. Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include her parents, Janie Chambers, of Oxford, and Larry Chambers, of Iuka; two sisters, Melissa (Randy) Chambers McGee, of Nashville, Tenn., and Wendy (Jay) Chambers Carmean, of Oxford; one brother, Bryan Chambers, of Nashville; and three nieces and two nephews.
Lesley was preceded in death by her grandparents, the Rev. and Mrs. William B. Frazier Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Chambers; and her sister, Stacy Chambers.
