Doris L. White, 79, Grand Junction, died Nov. 15, 2012, in
Grand Junction.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Martin Mortuary.
Ms. White was retired from US Bank.
Survivors include one son, Byron of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters,
Cindy Youngquist of Colorado Springs and Susan Booher of
Grand Junction; one brother, Duane Houchin of Laramie, Wyo.;
five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

December 25, 1932 – November 15, 2012
Doris L. White, age 79, of Grand Junction, CO went to be with the
Lord on November 15, 2012, after a courageous battle with lung
cancer.
She was born in Mansville, WY and moved to Grand Junction in
1950, where she met and married Sumner Vance White on Januar y
29, 1953. They had 50 wonderful years together.
Doris worked for the Daily Sentinel, C.D. Smith Co. and retir ed
from the US Bank in 1987. She was a lovely woman whose priority
was her home and family. She very much enjoyed being a wife and
mother. She also enjoyed Bible Study, reading and crocheting.
Doris is survived by a son, Byron White and daughters, Cynthi a
Youngquist and Susan Booher; a brother, Duane (Julie) Houchin;
five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Vance; a sister, Faye and granddaughte r,
Andrea.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Nove mber
24, 2012, at Martin Mortuary.
