Mary Elizabeth Cole, 99,
Clifton, died Feb. 23, 2013, at Palisade
Living Center.
A rosary will be recited at
7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Ann’s
Catholic Church. Services will
be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the
church, followed by burial at
Grand Junction Memorial Gardens
Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons,
Dennis of Palisade, Mike of
Grand Junction and Phil of
Manassas Park, Va.; two daughters,
Judy Cole of Palisade and
Betty Twitchell of Wasilla,
Alaska; five grandchildren; and
eight great-grandchildren.

Mary E. Cole, age 99, of Palisade,
Colorado passed away Saturday,
February 23, 2013 at the
Palisade Living Center.

Lake, Minnesota on October 13,
1913. She was nine when her
mother died and lived with various
relatives before settling with
her sisters in Highwood, Illinois.
Here she met her future husband, Lloyd P. Cole. They were married
February 17, 1938.
The couple moved to Colorado in 1946, and to Palisade in 1954.
Mary kept very busy raising her five children and volunteering at St.
Ann Catholic Church. She taught Religious Education classes, and
was an active member and president of the Altar and Rosary Soci -
ety.
She is survived by her five children, Judy and Dennis of Pali sade;
Mike of Grand Junction; Betty Twitchell of Wasilla, AK, and Phil of
Manassas Park, VA. She is also survived by five grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held at St Ann's on Wednesday, February 27th at
7:00 p.m. and Funeral services will be held the following day, February
28th, at St. Ann's at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann
Catholic Church, 535 West 1st Street, Palisade, CO 81526.
