Robert Greenway went to be
with the Lord on November 26th
2012. His son was at his side
when he passed away. Bob was
born on July 1st, 1929, in Patterson,
NJ. He served in the US
Navy during the Korean War on a
destroyer.
Bob was preceded in death by
his wife, Joyce Greenway. He is
survived by a son and
daughter-in-law, Doug and Debbie
Greenway of Eagle, Idaho,
and two daughters, Pam Orozco
of Ojai, California, and Jane Coffey
of Casper, Wyoming. Bob has
five grandchildren, Michael,
Danny, and Stacie Greenway of
Eagle, Idaho; Kyle Coffey of Ogden,
Utah, and Chris Coffey of
Casper, Wyoming. Bob is also
survived by his twin brother,
Warren Greenway of Pahrump,
Nevada and seven nephews and nieces.
Bob was a talented machinist who worked for Cal-Tech and Avery
Labeling before retiring to Grand Junction in 1991. He loved Grand
Junction and all the natural beauty that the area is blessed with. He
had a passion to fish on the Grand Mesa and camp on the Colorado
Monument and listen to Bluegrass Music.
Pop was surrounded by wonderful friends and neighbors who
helped him out and offered love and support in the later years of his
life. He considered these friends as a part of his family.
The last two weeks of Bob's life were spent in the Grand Junction
VA Hospital. The caregivers were compassionate and caring as Pop
entered the final stages of his life. Our family wants to express our
thanks for the care that Pop received while at the VA Hospital and
the Community Living Center.
Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 6th, 1:00 p.m. at
the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Palisade Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
