Theresa M. (Fleishman) Nachtman died June 27, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. She was 96.
She was born Sept. 11, 1911, in Merna, Neb., to George N. and Anna M. (Bader) Fleishman. She graduated from Dale Valley and Merna High School in Merna and Mesa College School of Practical Nursing in Grand Junction. She was a homemaker and an LPN at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction for 17 years.
Theresa married Oliver P. Nachtman on May 20, 1936, in Anselmo, Neb. They moved to Colorado from Merna in 1961. They were married 59 years, until Oliver's death in 1996. She is survived by six children, Ken (Norma) Nachtman of Craig, Marilyn (Reno) Cerise of Basalt, Glenn (Darlene) Nachtman of Grand Junction, Delores (Ralph) Ready of Merna, Neb., Lois (George) Kostiuk of Hayden and Diane (George) Robinson of Silt; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; sister, Monica Fleishman of Broken Bow, Neb.; and brother, George C. (Margaret) Fleishman of Napa, Calif. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three great-grandchildren. A Rosary was June 30 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary and a funeral Mass was July 1 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Grand Junction. Burial was at the St. Anthony Cemetery, in Grand Junction.
