Marcia Wold died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002 at Valley View Hospital.

She was born in Colorado Springs on Feb. 4, 1934 to Velma and Glenn James. After growing up in the Cripple Creek - Victor area she married Jerry Wold. Their union was blessed with five children.

After their divorce she married James Williams of Missouri. Three children were born to this union. Marcia re-married Jerry Wold in 1974.

The family lived in Basalt before moving to Carbondale in 1978 and to Rifle in 1984 where she lived until March 2002.

Marcia devoted her life to raising her children, whom she supported in various occupations including waitressing at the Sopris, Buffalo Valley and Stagecoach Inn; as a flagger on many projects including Glenwood Canyon, Vail Pass, and Highway 82, and as a lift operator at Highland Mountain in Aspen.

In her free time she enjoyed dancing, crafting, baking and spending time with her grand- and great-grandchldren.

Marcia is preceded in death by both parents, grandparents, a brother and a grandson.

She leavs a large family who will miss her always. Survivors include her brother, George McPherson of Havasu, Ariz.; sister Anita Carmac of Winnegan, Mo.; dons Mark (Debbie) Wold of Grand Junction, Jeff (Tric) Wold of Yoder, and Jim (Heather) Williams, of Cotopaxi; daughters Connie (Clayton) Stump of Gypsum, Kathy (Scott) Broughton, of Basalt, Karla (Mike) Taylor of Gypsum, Kim (Rob) Burner of Gypsum, and Nancy Williams, of Denver; grandchildren: Kevin, Kelley, Mike, Jamaica, Abbey, Kayla, Shannon, Kyle, Amy, Keddie, Amanda, Krystal, Jenny, Matt, Josh, Nautu, Jeanea, and Jordan; great-grandchildren Taslin, Aspen, Brandon, Elizabeth, Bailey, Madison, Cameron, and Katelyn and many dear friends including "the Rat Pack."

The family held a private service at Marcia's request.
