Elsie Marie Ahlberg, 104, died Nov. 30, 2012, at Colorow Care
Center in Olathe.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God in
Delta. Burial will follow at Delta City Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Vic of Delta and Severt Barton of
Jonesboro, Ark.; three daughters, Helen Ayers of Olathe, Betty Call
of Grand Junction and Vesta Roland of Morenci, Ariz.; and a total
of 101 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-granchildren
and great-great-great-grandchildren.

Elsie Marie Ahlberg passed
away Friday November 30, 2012,
at Colorow Care Center in Olathe.
She was 104 years of age.
Funeral services honoring Elsie's
life will be held at 2:00 p.m., December
4, 2012, at the First Assembly
of God in Delta with
Pastor Lee Ponder and Gene Roland
presiding. Burial will follow
at Delta City Cemetery in Delta.
Elsie Marie Dougherty was born on October 23, 1908, to Harry
Henry Dougherty and Lucinda Matilda (Purvis) Dougherty in Berryman,
Missouri. She spent her childhood and went to school in
Missouri and in Colorado.
On January 26, 1926, Elsie married Severt Martin Ahlberg in S t.
Louis, Missouri. To this union five children were born. They moved
to Delta, CO, in 1946. The couple had the honor of sharing 61 years
of love and marriage, before Severt's passing on April 17, 1983.
Elsie a devoted wife and loving mother was a member of the PT A
while her children were in school. She also enjoyed flowers and
working on her yard. More importantly she loved and cherished her
family and friends.
Elsie is survived by two sons, Vic Ahlberg (Margie) of Delta, CO,
and Severt Barton Ahlberg (Loeda) of Jonesboro, AK; three daughters,
Helen Ayers of Olathe, CO; Betty Call of Delta, CO, and Vesta
Roland (Gene) of Morenci, AZ. She is also survived by 101 grand -
children, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, three on
the way.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funer al
Service & Crematory.
