William Hellyer, formerly of Hayden, died Aug. 31, 2008. He was 76.
He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. Hellyer owned and operated his own guide and outfitter company until he retired.
He is survived by his second wife, Nancy; first wife, Donna Hellyer, of Hayden; children, Kathie Johnson, David Hellyer, Denise Adams, Mary Bailey, Jackie Heuer and Chris Johnson; stepchildren, Chuck and Robin; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life was at 3 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2466 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Del.
A mass will be said in his memory at 8:30 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Craig.
