Johnnie Woodard
Johnnie Woodard, 78, died December 19, 1978 at the Glen Valley Nursing Home in Glenwood Springs. Mr. Woodard was a 20-year resident of the Gypsum area. He was born in Oklahoma on an Indian Reservation. Mr. Woodard was a noted horseman, spending most of his life as a range rider in different states. After coming to Eagle from Wyoming in 1946, he started working in the lumber industry as a log skidder. Previous employment included the Gypsum Lumber Company and night watchman for Kaibab Industries.
Funeral Services were held at the American Legion Hall in Gypsum on Saturday morning, December 23 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Steve Goodier officiated at the services with the burial at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum, Farnum-Richardson Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
