Frances “Frannie” Nitsch-Evans, 80, Clifton, died Dec. 7,
2012, at Community Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Mrs. Nitsch-Evans was an artist and homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Dave; one son, John of Buena
Vista; one brother, Ralph Cynova of Grand Island, Neb.; two grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.

Frannie Evans, age 80, of Clifton,
died December 7, 2012, at
Community Hospital after battling
dementia/alzheimer's.
Memorial services will be at
10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2,
2013, at Palisade Living Center.
Frannie was born April 2, 1932,
in Loup City, NE to Alexander and Clara (Grudzinski) Cynova. She
grew up in Columbus, NE. Fran moved to the Grand Junction area
in the late 60's. Fran was a true artist who enjoyed painting, winning
her several ribbons. A homemaker and a person who loved be -
ing "whimsical", she will truly be missed.
Fran is survived by her husband, Dave; one brother, Ralph Cynova
of Grand Island, NE; a son, John Nitsch of Buena Vista; two grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren; nieces, Sandi Brown of
Glenwood Springs, and Michelle Markle of Grand Junction; and a
host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Joseph and
Steven Faust; brothers, Andrew, Bruno, David, Daniel and Leon
Cynova, and two sisters, Rosella Frost and Cecilia Markle.
