Longtime Hayden resident Buelah Modine McLimore was called to be with the Lord on July 19, 2007, at Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs after complications following a broken hip. She was 90.
Buelah Modine was born April 25, 1917, in Ohio County, Ky., to Guy L. and Charlotte Loga (Hill) Bennett. She was the eldest and last survivor of five children from this marriage. She also was preceded in death by both parents and her loving husband, William McLimore.
She is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Adamek and her husband, Greg; son, Don McLimore and his wife, Paula; grandchildren, Bryan McLimore and his wife, Andrea, Julie Winter and her husband, Tim, Cassie McLimore, Jill Wolfram and her husband, Josh; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Winters, Madison and Ryan McLimore and Garrett McLimore; two sisters, Linda Henderson and her husband, Bruce, and Norma Teare and her husband, Bruce; brother, Larry Bennett; and a host of inlaws, nieces, nephews and other loved ones who will remember her fondly.
Modine was a longtime resident at The Haven Assisted Living Center in Hayden. She was a servant of God, a true prayer warrior and an accomplished artist.
She leaves us quietly - just as she lived her whole life.
A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Sept. 1, 2007, at the Oak Creek Cemetery.
