Elizabeth “Lizzie” Duckworth, 10, Grand Junction, died Dec.
9, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Bethel Assembly of
God.
Survivors include her parents, Austin and Nicole; two brothers,
Gavin and Liam; her maternal grandparents, Sue and Dick Berry
of Grand Junction and Brian and Terry Yarbrough of Lehi, Utah;
and her paternal grandparents, Vaughn and Laken Duckworth and
Marsha and Gary Reeves, all of Grand Junction.

Elizabeth, better known as "Lizzie",
"Sis", or "Sister", brought a
little piece of heaven to earth
when she was born ten and one
half years ago. She was full of
life, love, and happiness. Everywhere
she went she brought joy.
She was the perfect example of
God's un-ending love, patience,
a n d f o r g i v e n e s s . S h e h a d
struggles in her short life, but she never lost her smile. She found a
reason to laugh in every situation. She loved her music and her noisy
toys. She loved to be cuddled and tickled and pushed in her swing.
She smiled in the sunshine and laughed in the wind. Saying that she
will be missed does not express the depth of our loss. We will see
her again in Heaven, singing and dancing like she always wanted to
do!
Lizzie was preceded in death by her Grandpa Brian. Many remain,
waiting for the day they will see her again, her parents, Austin and
Niki; her brothers, Gavin and Liam; her grandparents, Vaughn and
Laken Duckworth, Gary and Marsha Reeves, Richard and Sue
Berry, and Terry Yarbrough. She has many aunts, uncles, and cousins
who treasure her dearly. Her family grew quite large, full of
loving teachers, doctors, nurses, and therapists - each had a special
place in her life.
A visitation will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on Thursday,
December 13, from 5 - 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at
Bethel Assembly of God on Friday, December 14, at 3:00 p.m.
Donations may be made at Coloramo Federal Credit Union to the
Elizabeth Sue Duckworth memorial fund, under the name of Gary
Reeves.
