Isidora Romero passed away
December 14, 2012 with her loving
family surrounding her. She
was 81.
Dora was born March 2, 1931, in
Cuba, NM to Dionisia Archuleta
and spent her childhood in the
San Luis Valley of Colorado.
She was a member of the Grand Junction community for 53 years
and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Dora enjoyed reading, crocheting, and listening to Spanish music.
She especially loved all pets always taking in strays. In her early
years she enjoyed spending time camping, hiking and fishing.
She leaves behind her four daughters; Stella Armenta and Sharon
Palma, both of Grand Junction, Jeanette Romero of Northglenn, CO
and Rhoda (Dodie) Alamo of Sandy, UT; a brother, Eugene Gonzales
of Albuquerque, NM; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren;
and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Angela, Mary
and Gloria; and brothers, Leroy, Eduardo and Gaspar.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 20,
2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Rosary service will be held
from 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Martin Mortuary.

Isidora Maria Romero, 81, Grand Junction, died Dec. 14, 2012,
at her home.
A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Martin Mortuary.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Ms. Romero was a laboratory technician.
Survivors include four daughters, Jeanette Romero of Northglenn,
Rhoda (Dodie) Alamo of Sandy, Utah, and Stella Armenta
and Sharon Palma, both of Grand Junction; one brother, Eugene
Gonzalas of Alburquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren;
and two great-great-grandchildren.
