John Peterman, 93, Palisade, died Dec. 21, 2012, at his home.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday at Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; one son, John R. of Palisade;
three daughters, Sally Joseph and Penny Hardrick, both of Palisade,
and Susan Hurley; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Our country is in mourning, for
a soldier died today. John Peterman
was born in Elwell, Michigan
to John and Leah (Lewis)
Peterman. John served in the
Navy during WWII, and attended
the Honor Flight in Washington,
D.C. later in life.
John and his wife, Doris, were
married for 68 years. They moved
their family from Michigan to Tucson, AZ, and settled down in Palisade,
CO in 1986.
He was a skilled carpenter and a trapper. He was voted Trapper of
the Year in 2002 by the Colorado Trappers Association. John was an
avid hunter and trapper and passed this legacy onto his grandchildren.
He appeared on the Price is Right and worked in some movies.
He also raised and raced Champion Appaloosa horses.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012, at
11:00 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary with burial and military
honors following at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of
Western Colorado.
