Junction.
Services are pending with
Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Survivors include one son,
J.J. of Grand Junction; one
daughter, Sharon Lofstrom of
Aurora; one brother, Bill Berryman
of Great Bend, Kan.;
and numerous grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and greatgreat-
grandchildren.

Born February 2, 1930, to Molly
Melvina Hill and William Golden
Berryman, she grew up and attended
school in Kansas.
Betty met and married James
Dale Leyerly while living in
Newton, KS. They moved to New
Mexico in 1954 and lived in Gallup,
NM and Farmington, NM.
They moved to Grand Junction,
Colorado in 1977. She and Jim were married for 62 years. Jim preceded
her in death in May of 2007.
They raised three children, Sharon Lofstrom of Aurora, CO; Jimmie
Joe “JJ” (Judy) Leyerly, and William “Bill” Leyerly (deceased).
She loved to cook for her family, work in her yard, play cards with
family and friends, and shop with her girlfriends.
In addition to Jim, Betty is preceded in death by her parents , a sister,
and a granddaughter. She is survived by her brother, Bill Berryman
of Great Bend, KS; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren;
two great-great-grandchildren, and many close friends.
We will miss the smiles and sometimes the tears and cling to the
wonderful memories she gave us all.
A visitation will take place at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on April
3rd from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Memorial services will follow on April
4th at 2:00 p.m. at Clifton Christian Church, 615 I-70 Business
Loop.
