Hugh P. Flynn Jr., 74, Grand Junction, died April 6, 2013, at
Hospice Care Center.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary. A
reception will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Grand Junction First United
Methodist Church.
Mr. Flynn was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one son, Gary of Fruita; one
daughter, Debbie Thomas of Grand Junction; four grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.

Hugh, age 74, was born to Hugh
P. Flynn Sr. and Kathryn Flynn in
Rifle, Colorado. He was married
to Ruth King for 54 years. He was
employed as a surveyor for Climax
Uranium and as an inspector
for the Bureau of Reclamation
and Bureau of Land Management.
He later started farming and raising
cattle until retirement. He enjoyed
Bull Riding and going to
Mesquite.
Survivors are wife, Ruth; son,
Gary (Christi) Flynn, and daught
e r , D e b b i e ( G u y ) T h o m a s .
Grandchildren include Stephanie
(Brandon) Sloan, Jennifer Thomas,
and Megan and Brittany
Flynn, and great-granddaughter,
Athena Flynn. Brothers include
Doug (Pat) Dean, and Howard
(Lorraine) Dean. Sisters include
Pearl Waterfield, Betty Rooks,
and Mary Ann Bogani, and sisters-in-law, Fern Dean and Janice
Flynn. Deceased brothers and sisters include Jack Dean, Floyd
Dean, Bill Flynn, Jean Davis, Patsy Dupuy, Gladys Jones, Helen
Flynn and Dorothy Flynn.
He loved his family so much and will be missed by all.
Memorial services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. There
will be a visitation from 9 - 11:00a.m. with Funeral service at 11:00
a.m., Thursday April 11, 2013.
A reception at First United Methodist Church will follow at 1 :00
p.m.
