William R. “Bill” Jones, born
October 23, 1951, in Collbran,
CO to Virginia R. and Hugh R.
Jones of Grand Junction, CO,
died March 4, 2013. He was 61
years old.
Bill was a resident of Fruita,
Colorado, previously residing for
many years in Laramie, WY. He
recently retired from nearly 30
years of world-wide marketing of technical/environmental equipment.
Bill was an avid lover of all sports, but particularly loved
baseball, the Broncos, hunting, and fly-fishing. No trout within 150
yards of his fly-pole were safe!
Bill graduated from high school in Lakewood, CO, and also attended
schools in Trinidad, and Grand Junction, CO. He attended
College at Mesa (Jr.) College in Grand Junction and Denver Community
College in Denver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his
former wife, Lynn P. Jones of Fort Collins, CO; step-daughter,
Heather Nelson of State College, PA; brother, Timothy L. Jones
(Judy) of Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Donna R. Harris (John) of
Fruita, CO; sister, Janet L. Peace (Scott) of Oakton, VA; nephews,
Collin Jones, Morgan Jones, Elliott Jones, Donald Norman, and
David Norman; nieces, Nicole Watson, Taylor Peace, and Mackenzie
Peace.
A memorial service for Bill will be held at the Palisade
Seventh-day Adventist Church at 162 E. 4th Palisade, CO at 11:3 0
a.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013.

William “Bill” Richard Jones, 61, Fruita, died March 3,
2013, in Fruita.
A service will be at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Palisade Seventh-Day
Adventist Church.
Mr. Jones was in technical sales.
Survivors include one daughter, Heather Nelson of State College,
Pa.; one brother, Timothy L. of Fredericksburg, Va.; and two
sisters, Donna R. Harris of Fruita and Dr. Janet L. Peace of Oakton,
Va.
