Margaret Mandeville, 98, Grand Junction, died March 11,
2013, at Aspen Ridge.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Martin Mortuary, followed by
burial at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include daughters Janice Markrud and Julie Rex, both
of Grand Junction; three grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

youngest (and last surviving) of
the eight children of Job and Flora
Francis. Theirs was a farm family,
a n d M a r g a r e t a t t e n d e d a
one-room school near Storm Lake
with her future husband, Richard
"Dick" Mandeville.
Margaret and Dick moved to
Grand Junction in 1943, and Dick soon thereafter started Western
Engineers, a local survey and civil engineering company well
known in the business community. Dick died in 1988.
Margaret attended business school, but was busy and happy being a
homemaker. She and Dick had three children, Jim (who died in
2002), Janice (Eric) Markrud, and Julie (Randy) Rex. Margaret had
three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She greatly enjoyed gardening (winning Yard of the Month) and
had a passion for bridge. Margaret loved her family and friends, and
her pets. We will miss her.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013, at 10:00
a.m. at Martin Mortuary, with a graveside service to follow.
