Olive Melleta Lehman, 97, Grand Junction, died April 26, 2013,
at Larchwood Inns.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Christian
Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will
be at Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one son, Ron E. of Lakewood; one daughter,
Karen K. of Grand Junction; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Olive Meletta Lehman November 23, 1915 – April 26, 2013
Olive Meletta Lehman, age 97, of Grand Junction passed away
peacefully at Larchwood Inns on April 26, 2013, with her children
by her side. Olive was born November 23, 1915 in Blunt,South
Dakota to John and Eva Sparks. On October 4,1941, she married
Marvin Lehman in Yuma, Arizona. Olive was a kindred spirit who
had many interests outside of the home. She enjoyed bowling and
was secretary of the “Grandmother’s Bowling League” for 35 years.
She found pleasure in fishing with her family on Grand Mesa, at
the Flaming Gorge, and in Mexico.
Olive was a true fan of the Rockies and rarely missed watching
them play or listening to games on the radio. she was a member
of the Eagles Auxiliary where she often enjoyed dancing with her
husband. Olive was an active member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Vicky) Lehman of Lakewood,
CO; daughter, Karen Lehman of Grand Junction, CO; four grandchildren,
and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
parents; husband, Marvin; daughter, Glenda (Jerry) Francis; eight
sisters, and one brother. Visitation will be from 10 - 10:30 a.m.
on Friday, May 3, 201 3, at First Christian Church, followed by a
memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Olive’s
memory to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
