Lloyd E. Wright passed away January 21, 2013, in Grand Junction,
CO. He was born in Maple, Wisconsin on October 11, 1927, to Emil
and Adeline Wright.
After his service in the Navy, at the end of WWII and then in the
Korea War, he went to Hobart Welding School. Lloyd opened his
own shop in Stewart MN. After several years there he went to work
maintenance at a Glass Plant and then Link belt, in the Minneapolis
area. On a vacation to Billings, MT, Lloyd decided he liked the climate
there and got a job in maintenance at a Bakery. Always loo king
to improve his families living condition, he took a job in Lewistown,
MT with the U,S. Air Force -694th Air Defense Squadron,
While working there he met and married Jane Busha, increasing his
family with four step-sons. Lloyd saw a job posted with the Army
Corp of Engineers at Dutch John, UT; and moved his family there .
Later he transferred to the dam at the Dalles, OR. and then Springfield,
OR. In the late 1980's he retired from of Central Point, OR and
moved to Montrose, CO.
He met Loret Babcox, in Delta, CO in the spring of 1996. They
were married a day after Lloyd's birthday in October of 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Loret Wright and a brother, Val (Betsy)
Wright of Darwin, MN; sons, David Wright (Deb Fink) of Kettle
River, MN; Craig (Jody Carlson) Wright of Stacey, MN, and a
daughter, Barbara (Mac) McNeely of Danberry, WI; four step-sons,
Cole (Mary) Busha of Greeley, CO; Joe (Toni) Busha of Vernal,
UT; Tom (Donna) Babcox of Jacksonville, FL; Rev. Robert (Nancy)
Babcox of Grand Junction, CO, and one step-daughter, Kathleen
(Michael) McGinnis of Phoenix, AZ.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Adeline
Wright; a brother, Gailard Wright; his wife, Jane Busha-Wright, and
two step-sons, Scot and Dean Busha.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
in Delta, CO at the Center for Spiritual Living, at 658 Howard
Street, Delta, CO, 81416.
A Graveside service will be held on May 1, 2013 at the Veterans
Memorial Cemetery in Grand Junction, CO at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to V. F. W. Post 92 21,
Cedaredge, Co, 81413.
