Frank Edward Wright

Frank Edward Wright, 94, Ogden, Utah passed away Sunday, April 13, 1980 in Dunns Wide Horizons, Ogden, Utah.

Mr. Wright was born August 18, 1885 in Bedford, Mass., son of James and Ellen Sullivan Wright.

In March of 1943 he was married to Bessie Virginia Landon at Tabernash, Colo. She preceded him in death January, 1959.

Mr. Wright was a member of the Catholic Church. He also worked as a rancher, miner, teamster, mail carrier, government trapper, forest ranger, game warden, hauled potatoes from Yampa to Denver, and drove a stage coach from Leadville to Gypsum and McCoy, and also a lumber jack.


Mr. Wright was educated and lived most of his life in Colorado, living in Denver, Yampa, Tabernash and Gypsum, and he then moved to Ogden, Utah in 1973.

Surviving relatives are four stepsons and three stepdaughters: Charles Landon, Whitewater, Colo.; William Wallace Landon, Gypsum; Robert L. Landon, Ogden, Utah; Clyde Landon, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Beda Towndrow, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Ida Mae Adams, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Margarent Soule, Spokane, Wash.; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were conducted for Mr. Wright at the Gypsum Lutheran Church, Rev. Steve Goodier conducting the services, Sat., April 19 at 1 p.m.

Burial was in Memorial Gardens, Grand Junction, by the side of his Bessie.
