Ronald E. Thomas June 29, 1934 – May 2, 2013
Ron Thomas passed way with loving care at Larchwood Inns
Long Term Care, in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Ronald was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Victor Jewitt Thomas
and Olive Nancy (Moore). The family moved to Pueblo, Colorado
when Ronald was a child. He attended Centennial High School,
served in the Marines and was honorbly discharged in 1956.
Ronald returned to Pueblo and worked as a boilermaker at CF&I
Steel Mill.
He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Betty (Carr) Thomas, whom
he married in Reno Nevada; daughters, Cindy (John) Drassen of
Pueblo; Mary (Shawn) Ruse of Grand Junction, and Eileen (Randy)
Miller of Pueblo; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and
a brother, Gary Thomas of Greeley, Colorado.
Ron was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #145 for 52
years and served as president from 1964 to 1965. Ronald's interests
included welding, woodworking, reading, travel and photography.
Services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Morturary in Grand J unction,
Colorado at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
