Joely, born April 22, 1969, passed away Sunday in her home in Vail. She was the daughter of Judy Morrison and Joseph Nelson and granddaughter of Thomas Henry and Violet Morrison and niece of James and Lura Brown of Eldorado, Ark. Joely obtained an M.D. from The University of Texas San Antonio and was affiliated with anesthesia groups in the Denver and Vail Valley.
Joely is survived by: her mother; aunt; cousins Eli, Casey, Andrew, and Megan Bell of Austin, Tex., and Mark, Daniel and Tomas Diaz of Livonia, Mich. Following a celebration of life in Colorado, Joely will be laid to rest in Abilene, Tex. following a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Golden Retriever Rescue in Golden, Colo.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at The Vail Church, 39209 U.S. Highway 6 in Avon. Reception will follow at 281 Metcalf Road, Unit 109 in Avon.
