Born in New York in 1927, Estelle
was preceded in death by her
husband of 39 years, Alfred J.
Stabile, retired Air Force Major.
She traveled from her home at the
age of 21 to Trinidad and Tobago
to join her husband. She traveled
the United States and foreign
countries throughout the next 18
years with their two children, finally
settling in Placentia, California in 1966. Eleven years after
losing her husband in 1987, she moved with her daughter's family to
Las Vegas, Nevada where she remained until her death.
Estelle exemplified every quality of a perfect military wife while
caring for all the needs of her son and daughter. She participated in
activities through the Officer's Wives Club and volunteered hun -
dreds of hours as a member of the Gray Lady Program in Germany
and California. At only 4' 11" tall, she was a force to be reckoned
with while giving all of herself to her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Virginia and
John of Las Vegas; son, Michael of Los Angeles; granddaughter ,
Terry of Grand Junction; grandsons, Tony, Jason, and William, and
great-grandsons, David, Dale, and Joseph.
Her ashes will be interred at her husband's grave site on May 2,
2013, at the Veteran's National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
The family requests any donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis
Society.
She will be sorely missed.
