WALTER WEBB DIE THURSDAY IN DENVER

Word came yesterday of the death early that morning in the Colorado General hospital of Walter Webb of Eagle.

Mr. Webb had been in poor health for years, but not until the past year was his condition considered serious. Much of the time the past few months he spent in bed and in the hospital. The exact cause of his ailment was not determined by the doctor, but his trouble was undoubtedly caused by injuries received many years ago when thrown from a horse.

Mrs. Webb was at her husband's bedside when the end came, and she will accompany the body to Eagle for burial. Funeral arrangements have not been completed at this time, but it is though that services and burial will be held in Eagle Sunday afternoon.

WALTER WEBB BURIED IN EAGLE SUNDAY

A large gathering of sorrowing friends followed the body of Walter F. Webb to its last resting place in Valley View [Sunset View] cemetery in Eagle Sunday afternoon, paying their last respects to a man beloved by a large host of friends, numbering all the residents of the community. Mr. Webb had been a patient sufferer for many years, but being of a patient, uncomplaining nature he carried his load of pain silently. He thought well of all mankind and valued his friendships; nearly his last words to his wife, who was at his bedside at the end, was a request to tell everyone at home good bye for him.

Walter Francis Webb was a native of Colorado, having been born in Carbou, this state, August 26, 1882. His earlier childhood was spent in Pueblo, accompanying his parents to Hotchkiss when 14 years of age, and there he grew to manhood. On December 27, 1907 he was united in marriage to Dolly E. Duncan, at Glenwood Springs, Colo. This union was blessed with the birth of four children, three sons and one daughter, one of whom, the second son Robert, passed away a year and a half ago.

He passed away last Thursday morning, September 17, at the Colorado General hospital, where he had been confined most of the time for the past year. The body was returned from Denver and funeral services held from the Methodist church Sunday. Rev. T.B. McDivitt of the local Methodist Episcopal church conducting the services, and Mortician O.W. Meyer having charge of the funeral.

Surviving the deceased are the widow, two sons, Alvin and Donald; one daughter, Dolly, all of Eagle. Three brothers, Ed of RIfle; Charles, Hotchkiss; Ernest, Phoenix, Ariz. Three sisters, Mrs. Louise Fowler, Rifle; Mrs. Stella Walton, Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Grace Parker, Winthorpe, Wash.
