Family Obituary
Alexander Macdonell (Mac) of Grand Junction, CO, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 21, 2014. Mac, age 88, was born August 27, 1925, in Eagle, CO, to Alexander and Sadie Macdonell. Mac was married to Margaret Macdonell for 65 years. He was a WWII veteran who served in the US Navy in the South Pacific. He was a retired electrical lineman and a lover of dogs, horses, and most of all, carpentry. He especially loved and was proud of his family. He is survived by his wife Margaret of Grand Junction; son Daniel and his wife Margie of Grand Junction; grandson Benjamin and his wife Dawna and great grandsons Carson and Ayden of Las Vegas, NV; grandson Alexander and wife Rebecca of Tucson, AZ; step granddaughter Dena Schuman and her husband Brad and great grandson Timber of Glade Park, CO; sister Margaret Morris of Glenwood Springs, CO; brother George Macdonell and wife Etta Lou of Grand Junction, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ethyl Mary, and a son, John.
The family thanks Hospice Care at the Veterans Hospital of Grand Junction, CO, for their wonderful care, concern, and compassion for Mac during his last days. God bless you.

Alexander "Mac" Macdonell, 88, Grand Junction, died March 21, 2014, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; one son, Daniel of Grand Junction; one brother, George of Grand Junction; one sister, Margaret Morris of Glenwood Springs; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
