J.H. Weeden

A five-year resident of Minturn, J.H. Weeden, died Sunday morning, July 9, 1972 at the Vail Clinic. Doctors attributed a heart attack as the cause of death.

Mr. Weeden was 55.

A contractor with Weeden Crane Service, Mr Weeden was born March 17, 1917 in Guyman, Okla. He spent his childhood in Oklahoma.

He married Fern Craig in Cody, Wyoming in July of 1939.

A member of Lodge No. 30 AF & AM of Liberal, and a Shriner, he was also a 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by a son, John H. Weeden Jr. of Minturn, and a daughter, Arlene Hamilton of Gypsum.

Two brothers, D.D. Weeden of Anaheim Calif., and Paul Weeden of Guyman, Okla. also survive along with four sisters: Mrs. Gladys Kirkwood of Stratrod, Tex., Mrs. Jane Harvey of Dallas, Mrs. Ann Ethridge of Ada, Okla., and Mrs. Yevohn Brattian of Orange, Calif.

Friends who wish may make a memorial contribution to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital in care of Bob Larrabee, Box 1009, Liberal, Kan., 67901.

Funeral services were scheduled forf 2 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 1972 at the First Baptist Chrurch in Liberal, Kan. Burial was scheduled for Memorial Gardens in Liberal. Masonic graveside services were held.
