JOHN KNODEL KILLED.
The Denver TImes has a very meager account of the recent death of John KNODEL, whom it says was killed in a snowslide near Kokomo last Friday. Mr. KNODEL resided at No. 40 Archer street, Denver, and the remains were taken to his home for interment. The Blade has been unable to learn any further details of the tragedy.
About two years ago, John KNODEL spent several months mining on Battle mountain, having had a lease on the Tip Top or Star of the West property. It will be remembered that considerable excitement was created by the report that he had made a rich strike in the sand contact on the quartzite, but the pay streak did not hold out with development. From here Mr. KNODEL went to Kokomo where he secured a leas on which it has been reported he was making money.
