Ronald Dee Reed, known as
Ronnie Reed, life time resident of
Colorado, passed away at his
home in Whitewater, CO on August
6th. He was born on October
13, 1949, in Montrose, CO to Roy
L. Reed and Marie McCarty Reed.
He is survived by two daughters,
Wendy Mileta, and Corrina
Casler, both of NM; four grandchildren; two brothers, James and
Gerald; sister, Melody Safken; his mother, Marie Beougher, and his
girlfriend, Pat.
He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and two sisters.
Ronnie was a jocky and trainer of race horses. He was also a business
man, previous owner of Hick Reeds Bar-B-Q on Hwy. 6 and 50
in Grand Junction in 1978. Ronnie was the previsous owner of the
betting parlor, The Jockey Club, in Grand Junction. He was the
owner of a training stable in New Mexico. He also was owner and
president of Double R Equine Servies. He was a Mesa County and
Whitewater land developer, developing over 42 acres in the areas.
He was a constant and avid studier of Colordo law and Mesa County
land codes.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10 at
the Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Ronald Dee “Ronnie” Reed, 63, Whitewater, died Aug. 6, 2013,
at his home.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Orchard Mesa
Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Corinna of Hobbs, N.M., and
Wendy of Raton, N.M.; his mother, Marie Beougher of Grand Junction;
two brothers, James of Fruita and Gerald of Grand Junction;
one sister, Melody Safkin of Whitewater; and several grandchildren.
