Wanda was born to Lola and
Carl Cline in Ada, Kansas on December
22, 1919. She was raised
on the family farm until her parents
moved to Salina, Kansas
where she graduated from high
school in 1937.
Wanda met and married Wayne
L. Willcoxon on January 7, 1940. They were married for 54 years
until Wayne’s passing in January, 1994.
Upon their retirement they enjoyed traveling in their motor home.
They spent several winters in Arizona, and summers in Grand Junction,
Colorado.
When Wanda was 80 years old, she drew plans and designed a new
home, where she resided for the last 14 years. She loved flowers and
watching things grow. She, at one time, had over one hundred rose
bushes. Her granddaughter entered her beautiful yard in the Yard of
the Month contest, in which she won and was featured in The Free
Press,
She was a wonderful mother who always put her family first. She
greatly loved her children and grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by four children, Larry (Jana) Willcoxon of St.
George, UT; Terry (Clarence) Ratliff, Sherri (Tom) Somerville, and
Suzanne (Dan Landmeier) Willcoxon, all of Grand Junction, CO;
ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren;
three step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and
one great-great-granddaughter that is expected in November; sister,
Dorothy (Bill) Ingram of Pahrump, NV; sister-in-law, Helen Hillan
of Salina, KS.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, August 14,
2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled through Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Wanda Bernice Willcoxon, 93, Grand Junction, died Aug. 10,
2013, at Hospice Care Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Ms. Willcoxon was co-owner of an energy business.
Survivors include one son, Larry of St. George, Utah; three
daughters, Terry Ratliff, Sherri Somerville and Suzanne Willcoxon,
all of Grand Junction; one sister, Dorothy Ingram of Pahrump,
Nev.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
