Colorado native, Henry "Hank" Salvador Martinez, Jr., of Denver
passed away early on Sunday morning, June 23, 2013. Hank was 62
years old.
Hank was born in Red Cliff on January 20, 1951, to parents, Henry
and Germaine Martinez, who preceded him in death. He grew up in
Naturita and attended Mesa College in Grand Junction before he
transferred to the University of Colorado in Boulder. There he received
his Bachelors and Masters degrees. Hank taught middle
school and high school science and math in several front range
schools, primarily in Jefferson County.
Hank was a loving father and grandfather, and an avid Broncos and
C.U. Buffs fan.
He is survived by his daughters, Heather Martinez, and Brandi
Gendreau (Jake), and son, Hank Brian Martinez. He is also survived
by his five grandchildren, Kaiya, Aidan, Kade, Sloan, and Dominik.
In addition, he leaves numerous siblings, nieces and nephews, and
aunts and uncles.
Memorial and funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday,
June 28th, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction. Flowers
can be sent to Grand Junction Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Hank will be greatly missed.
