Clifford “Cliff” Cole, 70, Clifton, died Aug. 11, 2013, at his home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Palisade Funeral
Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at General Assembly
and Church of the First Born. Burial will follow at Palisade Municipal
Cemetery.
Mr. Cole was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; four sons, Leslie of Palisade,
Brent of Clifton, Cliff of Mesquite, Nev. and Justin of Grand Junction;
two daughters, Jolene Hovis of Clifton and Julie Larsen of
Grand Junction; three brothers, Alfred Cole and Larry Cole, both
of Grand Junction, and Marvin Cole of Mesa; three sisters, Carrie
Williams of Grand Junction, Carma Turner of Benton, Ark. and
Sherlyn Smith of Durango; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Clifford Leslie Cole was born on
March 11, 1943, to Albert Will
i a m C o l e a n d N e l l i e M a r i e
(Marsh) Cole in Read, Colorado.
He grew up in Read and attended
elementary school there. He married
Joyce Ann Swank on December
18, 1960, in Delta, Colorado.
They had six children. He
passed away peacefully at his
home in Clifton, Colorado, on August 11, 2013, surrounded by family
and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Nellie Cole;
two sisters, Betty Peet, and Gladys Rose; one brother, Albert
Dwayne, and one granddaughter, Mackenzie.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Cole of Clifton, Colorado; four
sons, Leslie (Linda) of Clifton, Colorado; Brent (Laurie) of Palisade,
Colorado; Cliff (Debbie) of Mesquite, Nevada, and Justin (Lana) of
Grand Junction, Colorado; two daughters, Jolene Hovis (Kelly) of
Clifton, Colorado, and Julie Larsen (John) of Grand Junction, Colorado;
16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, as well as brothers
and sisters, Alfred Cole, Larry Cole, and Carrie Williams of Grand
Junction, Colorado; Marvin of Mesa, Colorado; Carma Turner of
Benton, Arkansas; Sheryln Smith of Durango, Colorado, and many
beloved brethren and friends.
He will be greatly missed, until we meet again.
Services will be held, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Orchard Mesa
Church of the Firstborn, 3150 B Road. Burial will follow at Palisade
Cemetery.
