Survivors include his wife, Marcia Shalosky of Grand Junction;
three sons, Richard of Troy, Ohio, Robert of Austin, Texas, and
James of Grand Junction; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Ernest A. Eastman
December 27, 1927 – September 6, 2013
Ernest Eastman passed away quietly on September 6, 2013, of
natural causes. He was 85 years old.
Ernest was born on December 27, 1927, to Harry and Jennie
(Taffe) Eastman in Dayton, OH. He married Marcia J. Eastman on
October 21, 1948, and has been a resident of Grand Junction for 41
years. Ernest was a retired toolmaker.
He served in the Navy from March, 1945, to August, 1946; and
then in the Navy and Air Force Reserves from 1946 to 1957. Erne st
was a member and past president of Full Gospel Businessmen's. H e
enjoyed fishing, horses, hunting and history.
Ernest was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Eastman, a nd
his two sisters, Madelyn Ducker and Dorothy Gibson. He is survived
by his wife, Marcia; his sons, Richard (Sherry) Eastman ,
Troy, OH; Robert (Marilyn) Eastman, Austin, TX, and James
(Shawnalee) Eastman, Grand Junction, CO, and his daughter, Joyce
Ann Sowers.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013, at M artin
Mortuary from 5 -7:00 p.m. A Graveside service will be held on
Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Grand Junction Martin Mortuary
at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Jerry Gonzales presiding.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hope West Hospice of
Grand Junction, Colorado.
