Elberta V. Senn, 93, a longtime resident of Grand Junction, passed
away on March 18.
She was born in Johnstown, Colorado on December 15, 1919, to
Henry and Katherine (Hoff) Trupp. She graduated from Loveland
High School in 1937.
After being dairy farmers in Loveland, in 1956, Elberta and Robert
Senn moved to Grand Junction and purchased the El Palomino Motel.
Elberta owned and operated the motel for over 50 years.
She is survived by her sister, Geraldine Perry of Englewood, Colorado,
and three children, Carroll Senn (Melissa) of Las Vegas, Nevada;
Nancy Boothe(Stan) of Snowmass, Colorado, and Brenda
Varga (John) of Grand Junction, Colorado. Elberta had eight grandchildren,
Nick Senn (Lydia), Cassie Vaira (Doug), Jaime Chavez
(Louis), Hilary Lahey (Neil), Spencer Boothe (Beckie), Jason
Boothe (Kristen), Harvey Varga (Marti), Heather Baskin (Jeremiah),
and fourteen great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her
parents; brother, Vernon Trupp, and two sisters, Ruth Trupp and
Mildred Reichel.
Graveside services will be in Loveland, Colorado on March 22,
2013, 2:00 p.m. at the Loveland Burial Park. Funeral arrangements
provided by Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
