Beverly L. Evans passed away
after a long, courageous battle
with COPD. She passed away at
the Hospice and Palliative Care
Center on March 18th, 2013, at
the age of 78.
She was the oldest daughter of
John Albert and Lucile Ellinore
Brooks. Beverly was brought into
this world with the assistance of,
and at the home of, her grandmother in Riverton, Utah in Septem -
ber of 1934.
Beverly had four brothers, Ralph, Lloyd, Norman, and Nolan
Brooks and one sister, Connie Grace.
She married Daniel Evans On February 7th, 1953. They got married
in Las Vegas with everything they owned in the trunk of their
car. They celebrated 57 years together prior to his death in 2010.
Daniel and Beverly are finally "together again". Beverly was also
preceded in death by her brother, Ralph.
Beverly had two daughters, Dana (Gary) Cholas and Lesa (Bart)
Day; three step-daughters from Dan's previous marriage, and numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beverly loved crafts, sewing, crocheting, yard and gardening, but
her favorite times were family gatherings. Music was always a big
thing in Beverly's life, especially the old classic country songs.
Family gatherings always included live music, singing, or karaoke
and a ton of food. We always enjoyed each other's company and will
truly miss the great times we had with her. She was an exceptional
wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative
Care of Western Colorado so they may continue giving ex -
ceptional care, support and guidance to others going through this
difficult journey. We cannot thank them enough.
Services are being provided by Callahan- Edfast Mortuary, at 4:00
p.m. on Friday, March 22nd. There will be a viewing 30 minutes
prior to the services. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday the 25th at
the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.

Beverly Lucile Evans, 78, Grand Junction, died March 18, 2013, at Hospice Care
Center.
Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a funeral service to follow, on Friday
at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
She is survived by two daughters, Dana Cholas of Commerce City, and Lesa Day of
Grand Junction; three brothers, Lloyd Brooks, Norman Brooks and Nolan Brooks,
all of Utah; a sister Connie Grace of Utah; and several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
